About Jess

I first became interested in the link between gut health and wellbeing when my son had to take multiple courses of antibiotics which triggered stomach problems. Although the antibiotics cleared his infection, they caused stomach issues which were upsetting physically and emotionally. We went on a journey to improve his gut health which led me to fermented vegetables.

Fermented vegetables are full of natural probiotics which support good gut health. I started making them for him and then branched out to selling them at local farmers markets and garden centers. Sadly, due to high costs,  it was hard to sustain this small business so I closed it down a number of years ago.

However, as one door closes, another opens. Through my interest in gut health, I connected with a nutritionist and yoga teacher who told me about the practice of Chi Nei Tsang, holistic healing through direct massage of the organs. Intrigued, I studied the anatomy of the gut and became a Chi Nei Tsang level 1 practitioner. Bodkin’s therapeutic massages are based on Chi Nei Tsang practices.
